Can you believe yet another year has passed us by? Just like that...gone like the wind. I say that now but 2020 seriously felt like it would never end, am I right?
Anyway Happy New Year to you! Let's all collectively think positive and optimistic thoughts for 2021! Here's to hoping for better days and increased amounts of normalcy in our lives.
On that note, I am implementing a new referral program this year! It's a give and get type of deal! Your referrals mean THE WORLD to me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Now you can receive $25 credit towards your next session, photo prints, digitals, or collections for every booked client that books a session and mentions YOUR name at booking. Your friend gets $25 off their session at booking too! I'm totally serious!
These rewards carry no cash value that is transferable. They do however accrue and there is NO limit to how much credit you can earn. Accrued rewards MUST however be used with 1 year of credit notice (sent to you from me by email).
Ready? Get set. Go!
Here is yet another gorgeous baby whose first birthday is fast approaching. I used to say that I would catch up with blogging one day. I have since given up and kinda roll with it. It is not a bad thing that my beautiful clients need so many photo sessions and choose me to do them after all. I am truly blessed and grateful for all of YOU!
Can we also just agree that all the berry colors with grey are absolutely to die for? I love it!
This little nugget is almost a year now! I have been so busy that I sometimes forget which sessions have/have not been blogged yet. I love, love, love, including baby's fur siblings into the session. I think this baby was happy about it too with that little grin. <3 It is really no extra work at all to include them since I am already at your home. I handle it like any other sibling..LOL. When they're ready we take the photos and then send them off to play in another room while I continue with baby alone!
How adorable is this family? They're so perfect!
I'm well aware that Autumn has pretty much passed us by but hey...
it's not actually Winter until the 21st so.....
Here's one of my favorite families. We met at Maddies Pumpkin Patch in Weslaco, TX this time and it was so perfect. Also, I want to say these kiddos are some of the most well behaved kiddos EVER! You would think it would be difficult with a crowd like this....nope, not even a little bit!
After a stretch of SEVEN newborn baby girl clients, a baby boy was finally born! Don't get me wrong, I loooove the baby girls AND my personal favorite color is still indeed pink. It was sooo nice however, to pack up a different color scheme this time to meet this adorable ham. He smiled often and never cried once!
Little princess slept the ENTIRE TIME! I couldn't have asked for a better session, seriously! How adorable is she? Doesn't she look like a precious porcelain doll?
You guys! I can't handle how handsome this little dude is! I just wanted to kiss him and his cuteness! <3
Pleeeasssse bring me all your babies!
This was a super fun session. This pretty little baby girl was soooo precious and slept almost the entire time. It was especially fun to get a fire fighter shot under my belt! I have had all sorts of hero parents but this was the first fire fighter for me!
This is one of the most beautiful babies I have ever met!
Kinder Graduate Sessions are here!
These sessions will be taking place at Glow Event Center in McAllen. (6601 N 10th St #1, McAllen, TX 78504) on Sunday June 7th. They are short sessions where I will photograph your child in the 3 different 'poses' below:
1. Your child in regular wardrobe (So that you can have them wear those pretty dresses and dress up shirt with slacks)
2. Your child with the stole and cap and regular wardrobe (For personality to still shine through)
3. Your child in full cap and gown ensemble (For your traditional photo that everyone typically gets in school.
I strive to make sure that I get a genuine smile from each and every child. I will not give you something I feel isn't 100%.
Also, you WILL BE ABLE to pick and choose different poses for the single package you order.
My goal of these sessions is to document the memory. These are traditional keepsakes that I feel should not be overlooked.
There is a $25 Retainer Fee. This fee IS REQUIRED to book, guarantees that your child will have a time slot and does not include anything else. It is only a holding fee and is non-refundable. Simply add the time slot that works best for you to your cart and checkout.
I have also included the package options that I will be offering below. You are welcome to pre-purchase one along with your retainer fee so that you do not have to worry about anything else when the time comes. This is not required however. You may choose to decide on what to purchase until after viewing your photos.

**When checking out please provide a valid phone number and current email address so that I may contact you directly if necessary**
Did your little one miss out on his/her Graduation Photos due to Covid-19? Isn't that so super frustrating? Graduation Photos are a traditional keepsake for every child, we can't simply say "oh well". Don't let your angel grow up and wish they had a kinder grad photo of themselves!
Introducing:
Micro Mini Kinder Graduate Sessions!
These sessions will be at an indoor location in either Edinburg or McAllen (still to be determined). They are very short in and out type of sessions (about 10 minutes long) where I will photograph your child with cap and gown and then without if you desire. This way they can still wear those dressy slacks and pretty dresses to celebrate this special milestone in their lives.
(See example photos) I will have a navy cap and gown with tassel and a 'kindergarten graduate' stole available for use. This is a big deal for a 5/6 year old!
These sessions will be held sometime in June (I will have a couple of dates to choose from) assuming that the strict shelter in place orders have been lifted. If for whatever reason we are still under the order then we will keep postponing until we are able to do them. The goal of these sessions is to document the memory regardless of the month we can make them happen. These are traditional keepsakes that should not be overlooked!
There is a $25 Retainer Fee. This fee is required to book, guarantees that your child will have a time slot, and does not include anything else. It is only a sitting fee, if you will, and is non-refundable. Simply add to your cart and checkout at the link below.
I have also included the package options that I will be offering. You are welcome to pre-purchase one ALONG WITH your retainer fee so that you do not have to worry about anything else when the time comes. (So both items would need to be your cart at checkout). This is not required however. You may book with the retainer fee only now and choose to decide on what to purchase until after viewing your photos.
**When checking out please provide a valid phone number and current email address so that I may contact you directly when a location is established and time slots are open for you to choose from**

How is everyone doing? I've kinda been laying low lately. Both catching up on editing and some days mope-ing (<is that a word?) about how I have not been able to do what I love. I hope everyone is doing well.
Back in March, on the first day of Spring, (before this Covid19/shelter in place drama) I had a fun filled day of photographing kids and families with Edens Lilly Farm animals in their amazing garden! The sun was hiding the entire time which allowed all the vivid colors to pop so beautifully. We had several moments of light rain and wrapped up the last session just as the rain poured down. I am sad that was the last time I have been able to photograph a client but happy to show you all the beautiful moments and adorable people (and animals) I was able to enjoy! <3
I took this photo as an after thought. It was the very last shot of the session. The colors of the outfits together and the backdrop weren't right for this type of shot and I didn't love how it all came together but their feet were just soooo perfect that I needed to capture it. This isn't my typical style because I love color and contrast usually...but as I pulled up this image on my desktop I could hear "Black and White Matte" screaming at me. And so...(not quite true matte because I still need to stay true to my contrast)...here it is.
Here's something a little different! It's pretty much automatic for me to start gathering pinks and creams when someone contacts me about a session for their newborn baby girl. This beauty's parents wanted bold colors and NO PINK for this little lady...not a request I get every day but I LOVE this so much and wish I could do more of it! 😍
Hey y'all! I rarely post my before and afters anywhere. I wanted to post this today though because I feel like it is so important to discuss. Many people are happy with their snap shots. There's nothing wrong with snap shots. That's all I have of myself as a newborn really and some of my favorite photos of my son are those snap shots. But if you are able to hire a professional, then you really totally should. Professional photographers have gone through a lot of education in more than just taking the photo. We study lighting, posing safety, and how to read baby's cues during your session. It doesn't end there. Many people might not realize that a photographer's work doesn't end when your session ends. We spend hours going through your session, picking out the best and editing them to perfection. Now that's not to say that your baby is not perfect without the editing ....but let's look at the comparison below. Shall we?
Newborns often have redness and flakey skin. Some, like the baby below, have a little jaundice. Some might argue that the editing is altering the baby. I don't believe this is the case at all. If you look closely, the edited photo is indeed the same baby. He is not altered to look like someone else. I 100% believe it is how his parents will remember him to look anyway. They aren't going to hold on to the redness or jaundice. They will remember his little gaze, his lips, and the full head of hair on his head.
I take pride in getting your photos just right. If you can hire a professional, do it. Choose a photographer who's work is consistent and who's you really love (like mine lol).
Early Booking for Farm Mini Sessions are now LIVE! There are literally only 10 time slots this year so don't wait too long to grab one of these!
This will be my 3rd year offering these with baby animals at Edens Lilly's Dairy Farm in Weslaco, TX. They provide the most adorable bunny rabbits, ducklings and baby goats for your little ones to snuggle. This of course, ensures that there are many genuine happy smiles! There are a few shy kiddos too, but even then...the expressions are genuine.
The animals at Edens Lilly are part of their petting zoo experience and are used to being handled by kiddos regularly. The venue also provides 2 animal handlers so you can rest assured that both your kiddos and the baby animals are well taken care of at all times.
Spring on the Farm sessions are more than just getting photos taken. Your little ones leave with an experience they will remember for a long time...an experience that even you will remember! And I, I will have preserved those memories for both of you. <3
These will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020.

I photographed this beautiful family a little over a year ago when big brother was also just days old. I was so excited to see them again with their new addition! Aren't they all so gorgeous?! I especially love brother's hair!!! <3

This SUPER HANDSOME little dude smiled soooo much! I could not get over that amazing hair! I imagine that momma was so over me saying "omg, he's so cayyuttee!" (I'm pretty sure I said it like every minute) I mean, can you blame me? Just look at him! I dare you not to say the same thing!
My favorite color is pink. So naturally, these sessions are always my favorite and make me so happy! I also LOVE when big sisters are so loving at such a young age. Isn't it amazing how motherly instinct is noticeable already?!
You don't have to have anything in common with people you've known since you were five. With old friends, you've got your whole life in common.
Lyle Lovett
This is my beautiful friend. We've known each other since we 'thought' we were adults at 13 yrs old. LOL. We had fun working together at the Sonic Drive-In for several years and then parted ways when the time came to grow up 'for real'. Long gone are the careless days of our youth, but these new seasons are what has brought us back together. And they are the best seasons too <3 !
Sitter sessions are short and sweet! Don't they have to be this time of year?! I'm so lucky to find flowers still blooming with this heat. They are the perfect backdrop for cute babies! This pretty girl did not find me funny AT ALL. But I'm totally satisfied with only eye contact when you have peepers like these! <3
I have had inquiries for "older newborns" more often these days. This little chunky bundle was already 8 weeks old! She made me work pretty hard, but I'm used to waiting it out and rolling with the punches. LOL. Okay....it wasn't too bad honestly because of how cute she is!
I really don't know if there is anything more exciting than when a previous mamma client contacts me to tell me they are expecting another baby! I get sooo excited and I am feel genuine joy that their family is growing and that I get to take part in this exciting chapter! My clients are all so beautiful, wouldn't you agree?
I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this newborn session! I never know what to expect when babies are over 4 weeks old. It can really go either way by that age. I can't guarantee sleeping poses because many times baby will be wide awake for the entire 3 hours. This little princess did soo awesome though! She was awake for the first half and knocked out for the second half. I could not have planned for it to go any smoother. I especially love the eye contact she gave me. I just wanted to kiss her! :D
This adorable cuteness belongs to a family that I hold very close to my heart. <3 I have been photographing them since big sister was only 15 months old or so....and I LOVE HER TO PIECES! Mom and dad make the most beautiful babies right?! Like seriously! They are truly a family that I consider a little more than regular clients. They have become friends and have been with me since the beginning of my photographer journey. I am so very grateful that they have and continue to trust me to capture some of the most important moments of their lives!
When mom asked for the color yellow, I thought to myself "oh gosh, I don't have yellow for a girl!" So I wasted no time and used the opportunity to order some new goodies! I also got creative and made the two sunflower headbands below! Yes, all by myself too! Not too shabby if I do say so myself. :D
I never thought I would love yellow so much until this session! And that baby was the cutest little thing ever!
Summertime is here and is THE PERFECT time to get your kiddos photos done! Alright....I confess, this session actually took place in January but the time to admire them is NOW right? I have photographed these two since big brother was only 3 days old. Every year that passes I am continually hit with denial about how I'm aging as these kiddos grow to be the most adorable little people!
I am now opening up Cotton field session pre orders! The link below is to purchase a session now and we will then work on a date and time when the fields are ready. Because crops do what they want depending on rain and sun, exact dates and time will be decided upon when we see the field's first blooms. This can be anywhere btwn late June through early August. The amount of sessions are very limited as were the farm and sunflower sessions. If you don't want to miss out on these, follow the link below and book NOW!
http://dinangelaphotography.bigcartel.com/product/cotton-field-sessions-pre-order
I was a little worried the morning I drove to do this session. The fog was terrible to drive in and I was praying for the sun to shine through to bring a little bit of pretty light. We were doing a Moana themed cake smash after all. The fog stayed, but not unfortunately! I think the fog played an important role here! It naturally provided the dreamy feel and gave just enough blur to the background. :)
Cake smashes aren't just for 1st birthdays! 2 and 3 year old have just as much fun!
So back in July I did my first ever cotton field mini sessions. Yesssss, in July...and yes, I realize we are days away from Thanksgiving! I am THAT behind in blogging but it's getting done none the less. Cotton sessions were on my bucket list for at least 3 years but I never had the opportunity to find a farmer that owned a field so that I could properly ask permission. This year I found one!!! And I am so thankful that he was kind enough to let me do these exclusive sessions on his field. Keep an eye out for these next year, I hope to do them again!
I have been photographing this little stud since he was 1 year old! I cannot believe that the time has flown by this many years in what seems like a blink of an eye. I love watching my little clients grow and feel so honored to still be their family's choice of photographer. It is the best compliment that I could ever ask for....really! I can't wait to see you next year dude! <3
I was so blessed to be chosen by this family to be their photographer. They were visiting from South America and ended up having their bundle of joy here while visiting. It was so fun to meet them and I was sad to know that they would soon be leaving and that I might not ever see them again like I do all my other newborn clients. Maybe they can visit again in a year.....or maybe I can visit them!? :)
It was a pleasure meeting this beautiful family. This little guy had the most gorgeous color of hair. I was gushing the entire time. His daddy is a pilot so of course I had to throw in a couple of plane composites!
These two sisters were a gorgeous pair! I love sessions like these because these are memories that they will be able to hold on to forever and pass down to their children. I think everyone should be photographed with their siblings this way long before they become adults. Seeing snapshots of me and my siblings brings me so much joy and comfort for me personally. So I know that these are important moments and I am honored to be able to capture them for you!
This little guy did soooooo good for his session. I am always amazed at how much eye contact these little humans can give me. It's an amazing thing to witness for sure....how God made them with their own perfect little personality!
Here's a piece of work that I did for myself. Naughty bees flying off with my son's paperboy hat. lol. I will be in contact with a farmer for next year. Keep an eye out for some mini sessions in the sunflowers early next year!
Remember yesterday's blog? This was a candid shot from that session. I decided to have a little Photoshop fun. I was thinking of adding monkeys when I took this photo but found them to be too dark. Then I remembered I got great shots of these lemurs during a trip to the zoo a few months ago! Are they not perfect?
These kiddos were a little over due for a photo session. I have been photographing them since big sister was about 4 years old! When mom contacted me she said, "my son does not like taking photos, I need need you to work your magic and get some candids for me". I was up for the challenge, and what place better than the Scenic Wetlands and Birding Center in Edinburg! The trick is to let them play and crouch behind bushes like a tiger waiting for the perfect moment to pounce. Okay, that might not be accurate since I doubt I am half as graceful as a crouching tiger! LOL. Pretty much, I have no problem sitting in dirt and waiting things out to get the shots y'all. :D I was aiming for candids but I hope mom is pleased that I got great head shots of all 3 kiddos too!
Hi everyone, fun news! I have received the go ahead to use a cotton field for mini sessions :D
They will be $150 and include 10-12 digital images.
Because this is a crop depending on the weather, there is not an exact date yet. The farmer has told me that it could be ready in as little as 2 weeks or as late as 4 weeks from today. So...We are aiming for July 22nd through 29th. Below is the link where you can book and lock in a session. Once paid, I will be in contact you ahead of time to arrange a date and time. I will most likely have 2 slots available at sunrise and 2 slots (maybe 3) at sunset on a Sunday. As of right now I plan to do 1 day and only 4-5 available slots. Book below now, these will not last very long!
https://dinangelaphotography.bigcartel.com/product/cotton-field-minis
This beautiful baby was only a few days old and WOULD NOT SLEEP! I was actually a little concerned that I wouldn't be able to get the shots I planned for. I had to change up my work flow numerous times for her. :) In the end, it all worked out and I was able to work quickly for the 10 minutes she actually did sleep for. LOL
If you plan to be at South Padre Island on July 4th, 5th or 6th, then consider a Sunrise Session on the Beach! See details by clicking the link below. You may also choose your time slot/date and book right there at once before someone else does! I will message you via email immediately after booking is complete to start planning your session! These can be engagement, maternity, family, sitter, or birthday session. With the ocean as your backdrop there's no limit as to what kind of session we can do! I will even allow a cake smash! You bring the cake and a cute bathing suit! Baby can smash and wash off in the salt water waves! <3
P.S. Use coupon code '25off' for $25 off your session fee!!
http://dinangelaphotography.bigcartel.com/product/sunrise-beach-sessions
A couple months ago my sister messaged me on Facebook to inform me that there was a blooming sunflower field not far from my parents home in Edinburg. I was so excited that even without seeing it first I arranged for her kids, my son, and my brother's son to meet there the very next day. That night it rained. I was worried that the rain might've had a negative impact on the field...mind you, I still hadn't even seen it yet! So I took a drive to spend the first part of the day at my parent's home and made sure to drive by the field first. It was soooo perfectly beautiful!
Any photographer will tell you that the hardest clients will always be your own children...and in my case, my niece and nephews. LOL. I am still so glad with the outcome. Between the kiddos excitement and the fire ants that we stumbled upon, there were lots of fun moments to document. Here are just a few favorites :). Also lastly, a photo of my youngest sister and part time assistant. She is 20 years younger than I am but growing too fast. I am grateful for her help!
Every now and then, I am able to wiggle things around to book a last minute newborn session for babies already born. This was the case with Aiden. If I can make room, I will because very few things beat snuggling with babies! :D
Even then.....it really is best to contact me before baby is born. I hate turning clients away because I have no availability :(
I don't get enough inquiries for sitter sessions. Sitter sessions are done between 6-9 months when baby is well seasoned in tummy time, loves grabbing their toes, and to celebrate that they can now sit on their own! I had the pleasure of photographing this happy doll from out of town in early May. I must say this age is so fun and easy because babies this age have the biggest smiles and the least worries! If your baby is this age PLEASE book with me because smiling babies are like therapy for me! :D Seriously though, these in between months need to be documented too!
I am seriously considering setting up a single day of only "pink and gold cake smash minis". I'm laughing but really think it might work out! Imagine that...an entire day dedicated to pink, gold, and smashing cakes! Let me know if you are up for it, with enough inquiries at the same time I may just get crazy and do it!!
I did say that gold was very popular for cake smashes right now! This little one was all smiles and dug right in to that cake! We didn't have to tell her twice....or even once for that matter. LOL
A few months ago we took a little trip to my in-laws in north-east Texas. I always have the need to be a little busy so I photographed my brother-in-law's gorgeous family! I mean, how could I resist with this little chunker? They really are picture perfect!
Every momma should be photographed with their children. I personally have yet to take my own advice. There are very few photos of me and my son. I mean, there are enough to see I was there through out each stage... but certainly not enough for a collection. This summer I hope to finally do something fun with my little and have my own mommy and me session. Below is one of my faithful clients with adorable little ones. I am blessed to be able to save these moments for you on paper. <3
I truly always prefer cake smashes outdoors. I love the look that the natural light gives in the early morning and early evening opposed to the studio strobe. I also find babies to be more excited and less nervous than an in-home set up. Gold has been a favorite and trending color lately for cake smashes but I had not yet seen it paired with purple! I'm so glad mom picked this color scheme out because it looks so rich and royal!
Here's another little that came back to me for her 1st birthday photos. It seems like just yesterday I was snuggling with her and placing her in bowls and baskets at her newborn session! I just love her beautiful eyes and messy hair! I photographed her older brother since he was 3 days old also so it is such a joy to see the family grow and capture the special moments and save these memories for them!
I just wanted to share this super cute moment! :)
Okay, first let's talk about how cute this little guy is! He's adorable! Second, let me tell you about the energy he has! Too much! HAHA! Boys are always energetic, but I get my workout in with this dude right here.....('workout in' HA ...FYI...that's just a figure of speech in this case because I don't workout!) Anyway, I brought along my son's Paw Patrol pups to use in the session and my little client was NOT happy to find out that he couldn't keep them. You will see the short story below that he tried to sneak them past me. LOL.
P.S. I was happy to hear mom got him his own after this. :D I can't even!!!
I have been photographing this pretty babe since she was in mama's belly. I am always happy to see her and excited to see how much she's grown every couple of months. The first year of life is by far the most transforming and I love being able to capture those milestones!
Next blog: This pretty's brother! Their birthdays are so close together that they did the same theme this year...PAW PATROL!
If you read my last blog you already know that I am of course behind in the blogging department. I promise that I do my best! LOL. I'm back to post day #2 of the farm minis from March. I thought about putting both days on the same blog but there were sooooo many photos that I decided to break them up. :) Here's more cuteness for you to enjoy! And if you missed day #1 you NEED to check out the previous post!
Back in March I had 2 full days of back-to-back mini sessions. I had never ever run mini sessions like this before but I am so glad I did because the turn out was so great! I had so much fun watching the children love on, cuddle, and yes...be afraid of the baby animals they held. I would like to thank Eden's Lilly Farm Dairy in Weslaco for allowing us to use their farm location and their Two by Two Petting Zoo animals. The handlers were a tremendous help and were the reason everything ran so smoothly! I hope to do this again next year so keep your peepers open around February. I will most likely have more dates available than this year. Here are a few of my very favorites.....okay, more like A LOT of my favorites! :D
March 16th is sold out everyone! We have opened up another date. Follow the link below to book for Friday, March 23, 2018!!! They are going fast!

Thank you so much for your referrals and online support, but most of all...thank you for your faith and trust in me to photograph the people you love most. xoxo.

I seriously CANNOT pick a favorite from this session. This is my adorable nephew. He did sooo awesome and slept the ENTIRE time for me! I couldn't believe it. It must've been my shortest newborn session ever and still got so many great shots. His smiles are contagious aren't they? He is such a happy baby! <3
It feels like just yesterday that I photographed this little one in the belly still! She did super awesome at her newborn session also. Most clients return to me for a 1st birthday session or cake smash. This little one was not gonna wait that long for a party! How about a ½ birthday session? Umm, YES!!
I am always game for more than 1 outfit during a session. This is especially true when I have a cooperative and photogenic doll like this one! She was sooo cute although it took a lot of convincing that it was okay to be barefoot. Will you look at that super awesome smile? Only momma could make that happen...I still don't even know what was happening behind me. LOL
I had a BLAST at this little princess' 3rd Birthday session! I have been photographing this cutie since she was inside of her momma's belly! I just cant believe how fast she has grown. Her momma had a variety of headbands for her to wear, but she only wanted that crown. LOL That's okay, it was the perfect fit!
There are 7 kiddos in my family....that's right SEVEN. I am the oldest.
I was so excited to photograph my youngest brother and his gorgeous wife's maternity session! I got ALLL THE FEELS while editing also....he's just a baby! Hahah, he's about to be 22 so...I think I am just getting old...again, this seems like a common thing for me to say as I blog these sessions lately. I need to do something about these feelings y'all! LMBO
I have been photographing this cute stud since he was only 1 year old. He is 5 now! I have been in complete denial about my age for a long time now, and seeing these kiddos grow up does not help that situation......BUT I seriously LOVE them all! Happy 5th birthday kiddo, see you next year! :)
It was a gloomy day the day this session took place. If you know weather in the RGV it is bi-polar! Sunny skies can change in to a Thunderstorm in minutes and I was a bit nervous about this session to be honest! The clouds did roll in but thankfully, they were not dark and they did not have rain! They acted like the perfect filter and I was able to get some amazing shots of this BEAUTIFUL girl. She was soooo photogenic, so this was easy peasy.
Baby Luke was such a cute squishy baby! He did NOT like being touched in his sleep though! He really made me work hard, but in the end the photos were so super awesome! I am not a football fan, but I am so glad I have this cute #dallascowboys outfit to use! I am sure I will be using it quite often. :)
I seriously could not decide on a favorite from this little guy's session. He was so super adorable and I was so excited to snuggle with a baby BOY finally! :)
I know I always say that my clients are so good looking, but I only say it because it's totally true!! Check out this glowing mommy to be! We made our way down to the Old Pumphouse in Hidalgo for this session. I always feel like this place is so far for me to travel to but then know it's totally worth it when the gallery looks like this one! :) I am seriously eagerly awaiting baby boy's arrival it's been months since I had a newborn boy to photograph!
You may recognize this handsome face. I have been photographing him since he was about 4 months old! It was mom's idea to have a camping themed session and I was sooo excited! I immediately started gathering the marshmallows and went through my parent's house looking for things to use! I loved editing this session because his facial expressions were so perfect for all my ideas. It was totally a success!
If your kiddo likes Paw Patrol, I have these puppies for use! If you want a camping session like this one, I have everything in this first photo below for use including the tent!! Message me!
Oh my goodness y'all! This family is just about the cutest family ever! I had so much fun with them and I have to say the two little ones were just about the sweetest siblings I have seen! Mom and dad are definitely doing something right because I could brother loved sister and vise versa! <3 And how about the two furry members of the family? They were so well behaved and photogenic!
Meet Baby Dante! I so love this theme and this baby was the sweetest ever and so cooperative!
These Family sessions I am barely blogging were done right before holiday season. I know, I realize I have been slacking! I have just been so busy getting all the galleries ready for you that I put blogging on the back burner! I will catch up at one point! :D I have known this momma since grade school! I have photographed both her girls individually and I also photograph her girls at a local learning center and they always do so great! [See first photo below] .....Anyway, on this day, the girls were just not in the mood to be in the spotlight. I was finally able to make one of them happy by letting her drag a wooden horse I happened to have in my trunk .LOL. That horse is pretty much in the entire photo gallery and will be a lovely memory for many years.... :P I look forward to many more sessions with this family! <3

Here's a familiar face! This was a two-part session. The cake smash came first and I was worried the entire time because the sky became very dark, very quickly. Thankfully, it did not rain and we managed to get some great shots of this cutie pie! The fairy session happened the day after the cake smash and the weather was picture perfect! We found this adorable cottage as we traveled through the woods. :P It fit perfectly with the fairy theme and I am so happy with the results! I would say this pair of sessions was a success. This cutie pie also had an announcement to make! Scroll down to the bottom to see! :D

This session was soo awesome! It was my first time photographing this family, but it was so easy going that you would've thought we knew each other from a previous time. This momma is blessed with FOUR boys...and her hubby....THAT MAKES FIVE! Y'all....that's crazy talk! LOL. Really though, these boys were so adorable and you could totally see that they loved their mom so much! My favorite shot? It's totally the one on the bridge! It's the kids being kids....totally not into having their photo taken. :D Big bro holding the squirming youngest and the two middle boys trying to annoy each other. LOL! I love this job so much!

I finally had a chance to get these lovebirds up on the blog today! I love the color choices they used, like seriously! That dress....is soooo pretty. :D Of course we went to my "go to" location: Edinburg Scenic Wetlands and Birding Center. That pond looks fabulous any time of the year!

Hello Everyone!
So I have been slacking on the blog .....LIKE BIG TIME! I promise I will get everyone's up. Here's a newborn from a session in October! Three months later, here he is. :) I love this little family! HECK, I seriously love all my family clients! Y'all are my besties and you don't even know it. LOL. I love the color grey on a baby boy, and momma did an excellent job with the colors for this family shot with the grey background....tying everything together!
Hi y'all, so 2016 is now a memory of the past and we have a brand new year to look forward to. This past year has been a year of unexpected events for me personally... I want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to all my clients ....my friends. :D I truly and sincerely hold all of you dear to my heart. I have grown to love all of you as I see you and your families grow. Thank you for allowing me to capture the memories you allow me to be a part of even for that single hour. The memories that are made at every single session help mold me as your photographer. Every single session is special and unique in different ways and I wholeheartedly enjoy every minute. Sometimes I snuggle with your babies, sometimes I am acting like a fool in hopes that your toddler likes me and gives me a smile...I love it all either way! Thank you for being a part of my 2016. You don't even realize that you all make my dreams come true every day. <3
Hoping to see you soon,
Dina Sharp
Okay Beach Bum families.... I seriously only have 2 spots left for these sessions in November. This is the perfect way to brag to your snowed in loved ones that you can still enjoy the beach on Christmas!! The available sessions are both sunrise sessions, so the session would begin at 6:45 AM. The available dates are Saturday November 19th and Sunday November 20th.

I have to say, this is one of the most colorful sessions I've had and the Edinburg Birding Center was the perfect location for this morning session. Yes, I did say morning! I AM NOT A MORNING PERSON.....like really. LOL. I was so glad I got up for this though and since I brought along my assistant (my little sister) I was able to play around with bubbles! It was perfect and there was not a difficult moment ever from this toddler. It was a morning full of fun!
Sighhhhhh, have I told you that I seriously love this job? I have been photographing this handsome since he was only 1 year old! Where has the time gone?? I have watched him grow through my lens and totally feel like I should be related to this family! LOL.
We were a little worried that this session was going to have to be cancelled, it rained like it hadn't rained all summer! I made it to South Padre very early because I wanted to be sure to get started as soon as the rain passed. (Forecast predicted rain until nightfall) Thankfully the rain stopped and the cloud cover acted as the perfect filter for this session!
I loved wayyyy too many photos from this session it was so hard to narrow down the gallery for them!
I really do get to photograph some of the most beautiful people! :D
Christmas is fast approaching y'all! If you are stumped on what to get your loved ones, I offer gift certificates!!! They are especially perfect for a mommy to be or someone who keeps putting off a new family session! Here's what one of the cards looks like Front/Back. :)

I met this gal while doing her little sisters newborn session almost 2 years ago. She has always been a tough cookie! Her mom and grandma always tell me how difficult it is to get photos of her. When I arrived to the location, she WAS NOT IN THE MOOD to play dress up AT ALL! What is a child photographer to do except put on a crown and some pearls and play! LOL. I had so much fun with this doll. She told me about her grandparents cows and how she only likes the baby ones because the big one's are too big...(it seemed to me however that the big cows liked my camera though)...by then end of the session we were buddies! I seriously love this job! I am ready to take on any kiddo who doesn't like cameras. :P

I hold this gorgeous momma to be very close to my heart. She is soooo much younger than me but has been a dear friend when I needed one and she probably doesn't even realize it. I am excited to meet her little bundle when he arrives.
P.S. I do not agree with the decision to be a Cowboys fan....but that's none of my business. LOL ;p
Remember when I talked about friends from long ago that seem to have always been there? THIS LADY RIGHT HERE is like the most perfect example of that for me! I'm not sure if she considered me a "bestie" in school.....lol...but she was definitely a bestie for me! We worked at the same fast food place in high school and were roommates when starting out college. Life started happening and we lost touch and went separate ways never really saying good bye or anything. Long story short, I now get to photograph her beautiful growing family! This is baby #3 for then and this time they have decided to be clueless about baby's gender! WHAT??? That's will power y'all! Seriously!! I can't wait to meet him/her!!
I seriously love making new connections with my clients and their families. What's better than that? Making connections with my grade school friends' kids! It's funny how literally 10+ years can pass by and then when I am contacted about a new baby or need of a family photo for an old friend, it's like we never lost touch! I enjoyed this session so much and I could tell momma was having a great time being my assistant! She was a natural at it too! I was nervous about getting a nice shot of baby Gael with his daddy's guitar because it was my first attempt. I am pleased with the result :) A special thanks to mom for helping me pose and put baby to sleep! :)
PS. His big sissy is beautiful isn't she??!!
I have done a few fairy tale sessions with adorable baby girls. I was missing Cinderella and was soooo excited when mom said she wanted a princess Cinderella theme! My plans for this session were to use specific areas of the Hidalgo Pumphouse but when I got there the grass was overgrown and the mosquitoes were relentless! We rushed through this session and I had to use other areas where the mosquitoes did not seem to bother us as much. I must say that even after that, I am very pleased with the results! This adorable baby is on her way to turning one soon and I can't wait to see which princess mom wants me to photograph for her 1st birthday!!!
Oh how I adore these photos! This is once again my little munchkin playing with his Pawpaw's tractor while visiting the farm this past summer. He thought it was so cool to help Pawpaw drive the tractor out of the shop for this photo session. I didn't get any of him connecting with the camera, but I as still happy for these shots because I was able to capture him "doing his thing" and all the faces are completely genuine. <3
This session was so much fun for me considering that my model was my very own little monster. In all honesty, he's a pretty good child but LOVES to get dirty! ALL THE TIME! He prefers being barefoot and shirtless. You would think that his momma (me) doesn't bathe him for days if you saw him at home any given day. ( I do bathe him, sometimes more than once per day LOL ) We were visiting his PawPaw's farm in Missouri and I just had to make this session happen! There was a few showers the night before so the ground was PERFECT for making a muddy mess! Of all the sessions I have attempted to do with my son, this was the easiest because he was totally in his element. :)

This is my little sister! She is seriously my mini me. If you can believe it, I am the oldest of 7 children....yes 7! This is the youngest. :) My parents live in what used to be the outskirts of Edinburg. It is a little more updated since I was younger, but the "monte" is still very much in the area so I did not have to go very far to play dress up and have a quick photo session! I was especially happy that we got to use those awesome boots that belonged to our momma 30+ years ago! Oh and that baby lamb? He belongs to my parents! He was a pretty awesome prop if I do say so myself! :)
Say hello to this beautiful ray of sunshine! Baby Olivia is turning one year old and what better way to accessorize than with sunflowers. Momma thought of the perfect theme for her summer birthday and the sunlight was just the perfect warmth and color for today's birthday session! :) Did I mention that her parents and I went to school together! I continue to deny that I am this old! I have been 30 for the past 5 years! LOL
For the past 4 years in Spring, these beautiful bugambilia bushes bloom like something I have never seen before and I always say to myself, "I really need to do a session here". And of course, the first blooms fade and the vivid colors are not quite the same as they were just a couple of weeks prior. This year, I was so glad to see that the first blooms came just in time for this baby's first birthday session. I was even more excited to know that sister would come along and that they would wear MATCHING DRESSES! I am soo soo happy with these images! Next year, I think I will offer "sudden mini sessions" here. Keep an eye out next Spring for this special! :) Happy Birthday Xitlali!
Here is one of my favorite little people. Little Jordan is already 2 years old. Seriously, where has the time gone? I have been photographing this cuteness since he was about 4 months old and he is a little model already! Doesn't he look like he should be modeling for GAP?! Happy 2nd birthday buddy! Can't wait to see you at 3 years old!
I have sadly not kept up with blogging this past year. I still wanted to thank all my clients for choosing me to be your photographer in 2015! I am forever grateful for you all! Enjoy this little recap, these are a few of my favorite photos this past year. I look forward to another great year, thank you all for being so awesome! ~Dina :)
This Session was so much fun! This precious girl is my very own niece! I was wanting to do a girly version of camping in the woods. As you can see the location we choose was perfect!! I remember thinking, " I wish I had a teepee"......and lo and behold....the Boy Scouts had this awesome wooden teepee built there (World Birding Center in Edinburg)!!! I was sooo excited, and so pleased with the way this marshmallow roast turned out!!! Nothing cuter than this princess roughing it out with her teddies and hot chocolate!
Do you love this? E-mail me at [email protected] to set up your very own custom Camping Session! :)
This cuteness is only 2 months old! All you other photographer's out there know this is a hard age!! At this age, babies are not sleepy like a newborn. They are also still too little to push up on tummy and waaayy to little to try to sit up. I was very happy to say the least with what we got. He was so content coo-ing ever so cutely! (Is that a word? LOL)
This was a very special session that truly touched my heart. "L" is 5 years old and had cerebral palsy. When mom contacted me, I was told that she was having a hard time finding a photographer for her daughter because of the amount of time the session would take in order to get enough shots. (double or more than usual) I knew I had to take on this assignment. It seemed from our initial conversation that she was happy with even 1 good photo. I however, wanted them to be super special and 100 times better than mom expected. A special thank you to my friend Keely Jean, for helping me bring my vision to life with props!! What do you all think?
So.....not too long ago, I had a different day job! That's right folks. I worked for a 24 hour pharmacy and didn't hate it....but I definitely did not love it. Anyway, these two girls used to be my co-workers and I had missed them dearly. The first was an anniversary gift for her parents! The second was a session I had been dying to do FOREVER.....well, 6 months really but still. I am so glad to have been able to catch up with you girls! You are both so beautiful!
This was such a fun quick mini session. It was so cute because future big sister still didnt have a clue of what was going on even after the session was over. (Mom told her I just needed a model for a project) Tee hee!!!! Mom happened to be an old bestie from high school! It was so incredibly fun to see her again even if it was just for a while, it felt like we never grew apart! I'll take that as confirmation of true friendship!
I took a lot of breaks this year. The first half was because of pregnancy, the second half was because I was learning to be a mama. Its been a heck of a year to say the least. I want to thank you all for supporting me and hugs to those of you who chose me to be your photographer this past year. I've put together a few of my favorites to say bye bye to 2013. I'm looking forward to 2014 and hope that you all will stay on board with me to capture your special moments! God bless you all!

Some time back I had posted on Facebook that I was feeling crafty! I'm hand making and decorating these wreaths as I am inspired. I even amaze myself when I'm done! <Happy Sigh> I love to use my creative juices! I need to do this more often instead of being bored!! Stop by my Etsy shop by following the link above! Your can contact me if you want me to custom make one for you with any particular theme! Challenge me, I dare you, ;)
Of all the stuffed animals she could've picked (she has millions), she chooses the green iguana! :)
I have yet to find a decent picture of myself for the "about me" section. I thought I would introduce you to my little man. It's amazing how easy motherly love just "appears" out of thin air. He is my world! Every day is an adventure and every day I'm impressed at how smart such a little person can be. What is most amazing however, is how this little person is so helpless yet has all the power in the world to make me do anything to make him happy!
I believe every woman should have a photo session all to herself at least once in her lifetime. Don't let anything discourage you from doing so! I promise you will feel confident and empowered afterwards! You are beautiful NOW! Stop worrying about your age or weight, you kids will remember you as you are now. Give them something tangible to show to your future generations! :)
I've known this kiddo's mom for several years now and sessions with him are always a blast! He comes up with his own ideas most of the time. He's creative and very talkative......well after several sessions, he was shy at first. I had a great time during this mini session, he loves his bunny Max and I don't even have to tell you how stylish his shoes are!! :D
Babies grow so fast! DJ first came to me as a newborn. We used this same monkey hat :) At six months mom had to work really hard to get his attention, he wanted to look everywhere else but my camera. And when he did look at my camera, we had to beg for a smile. We were able to get some cute shots regardless. I can't wait for his 1 year cake smash!
It was so much fun spending the day with this family!
Can you tell this darling was very shy? None the less she was so adorable and totally made my heart melt! Even in her shyness, we came up with some great shots!
Newborn sessions require such time and patience. You have to follow baby's schedule and when he finally decides to sleep deeply, you have to run with your ideas! This newborn was such a joy to work with and already has his favorite football team! :D You can check out more of this little stinker's pics in the newborn gallery and on my Facebook page!

Today is my first real newborn session! Wish me luck, I am so excited! Pics soon to come!
Hi Everyone,
So I'm new to this blogging thing but if i understand correctly this is the best way to keep my fans updated on my latest work and future specials. Maternity seems to be the most recent thing for me lately and I love it! Below are a few favorites from the sessions. Isn't amazing how beautiful a soon to be momma is?!
